Where it acts: cloud agents (Manus, Genspark, ChatGPT Work on web) work in their own environment; browser agents (Claude in Chrome, Comet) act in your own signed-in browser, which is more convenient and more sensitive.
How usage is metered: credits (Manus, Genspark, Lindy), plan allowances (ChatGPT Work, Claude) or pay-as-you-go (Browser Use). Long tasks can use far more than short ones.
